The course is in two parts, the first is classroom based and the second involves a practical inspection in your storage facility.
Course contents:
- Legal responsibilities – Health and safety guidelines and regulations
- Types of inspection – Reporting damage, site inspections and annual inspections
- Assessing damage – Racking components, classifying damage, acting on damage
- Inspecting damage – Health and safety, load notices, pallets and looking for damage
- Classifications of damage – Red risk, amber risk and green damage
- Examples of damage – Classroom based damage assessments
- Practical session – Focussing on teaching delegates how to inspect for damage
- Discussion session – Overview of practical inspection
- Responsibilities – Warehouse staff, supervisors, technically competent inspectors
- Written Exam – A short assessment to confirm understanding of the basic elements of Rack Safety Inspection
