The course is in two parts, the first is classroom based and the second involves a practical inspection in your storage facility.

Course contents:

  • Legal responsibilities – Health and safety guidelines and regulations
  • Types of inspection – Reporting damage, site inspections and annual inspections
  • Assessing damage – Racking components, classifying damage, acting on damage
  • Inspecting damage – Health and safety, load notices, pallets and looking for damage
  • Classifications of damage – Red risk, amber risk and green damage
  • Examples of damage – Classroom based damage assessments
  • Practical session – Focussing on teaching delegates how to inspect for damage
  • Discussion session – Overview of practical inspection
  • Responsibilities – Warehouse staff, supervisors, technically competent inspectors
  • Written Exam – A short assessment to confirm understanding of the basic elements of Rack Safety Inspection
