The short answer is “health and safety”. As a responsible employer, you want to ensure that your working environment is as safe as possible.
The Health & Safety Executive recommend that annual inspections are undertaken by a “Technically competent person” on at least an annual basis.
There is also legislation to consider and by having a rack safety inspection carried out you are demonstrating compliance with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER 1998).
Additionally, there may be commercial implications as a thorough inspection of your racking might identify specific reasons for the damage, or identify an on-going efficiency or cost issue on which we can offer advice or guidance.
- Health and Safety
- Compliance with the legislation, PUWER (1998)
- Identify causes of damage to your installation
- Reduce on-going repair and maintenance costs
- Improve efficiency
